History: Fr. Robert Drugman SJ started Jamuria Hindi Free Primary School in a mud house in 1954. Seeing his work, Eastern Coal India gave a plot of land measuring 1.23 acre for a school in 1956. A spacious hall with two rooms was built. Regular classes were held till 1965. Due to some unavoidable incident, the school was closed indefinitely. After the creation of Asansol diocese with the initiative of Frs. Van and I. P. Sarto, land was reclaimed. After obtaining the necessary permission the construction work was started and the school was inaugurated in 2003. DSA Sisters joined the pastoral ministry from 2006. The spiritual needs of the people were looked after from Andal.
