OUR LADY OF KALIPATHAR, SHANTINAGAR

History: The history of Our Lady of Kalipathar in Shantinagar can be traced back to 1965 on the land given by the Government for the patients of Hansen's disease. From 1968 the MC sisters started staying there. A priest was appointed to celebrate Eucharist for the Sisters and to look after the patients' spiritual needs. Fr. Francis Laborde with his own initiative built a beautiful residence for the priests in 2008 and a Church in 2010.
